The simple steps on how to apply for a puppy.
We have a lot of information here I know. So, take your time, look through this page, and learn about how to apply for a Stonegate puppy. We hope this will help you understand the steps you need to take.
Our Puppies cost $3500, no matter the color, size or gender. We do require a $500 Nonrefundable Deposit to be put on our Reservation List. Then at pick up, you would have to pay the balance of $3000.
**WE DO NOT GUARANTEE HYPO ALLERGENIC PUPPIES. NO DOG (NOT EVEN POODLES) IS 100% HYPO ALLERGIC.**
Does this mean you can't have a puppy? No. But it's just not 100%. We do produce low shedding Australian Labradoodles. But even low can be a problem for a few. I would rather be upfront and honest. If a breeder claims that their dogs are 100% hypoallergenic, BEWARE! Nothing in life is absolute.
First, please fill out our Application below and once we receive your application, we will get in touch with you ASAP. We will discuss your questions, thoughts and needs in a puppy. This is to ensure we are a good match.
If you are having any problems with this application, please email us and we will help you right away!
Once your application is approved, we will send you an invoice so you can place your deposit which is nonrefundable. But once you place your deposit, you will be on the official Reservation List which means you are all set to have a Stonegate Puppy. Be aware that our Waiting Lists fills up so quickly, so we encourage you to not wait so long.
We will not hold puppies for you without a deposit.
The puppy must be paid in full at Pick Up.
We try our best to match you with a puppy. But sometimes it doesn't work out, whether it is the timing for you or if the litter plans changed. Even though our Deposit is nonrefundable, it is transferable. We will put you towards our next available litter.
Unfortunately, it's all up to Mother Nature to decide if a litter will happen or not. And what the litter will produce. We cannot predict the colors or genders we will get.
After waiting for them to go into heat, we finally breed them. Then this is the hardest part of all. If bred successfully, it will be another two months until puppies arrive. This is the most nerve wracking time for us at Stonegate Labradoodles. We will fret and hover over our mamas and make sure everything is going smoothly.
Once the puppies are here, we will let you all know, or you will notice us posting newborn puppy photos on Social Media. We can't help, but show our excitement to the world haha. We do love puppies around here! But over the weeks, we will keep posting videos and photos of the babies as they grow! It will be another two months before they can go home to their forever families.
Once they are seven weeks old, we will again get in touch with you all to discuss the puppy. This is when we will pick the puppy that suits your family as well as meet your preferences as much as possible.
We believe that temperament picks is more important than anything else and we do know our puppies best since we have been with them since birth which is why we pick the puppies for you unless we say otherwise. Our success rate is high based on feedback.
You will be contacted in order on first come, first served. If you are first on the list, you will be contacted first, then second, so on. This is to be fair to those who have waited the longest.
They are now eight weeks old. They have been vaccinated and microchipped. At this point, you all will have an appointment and a Puppy Pick Up Day. You will come with the full balance minus the deposit amount and you will be able to take a puppy home that day. You will be of course required to sign a contract.
Our contract has three major things.
Health Guarantee:
We give a 2 years health guarantee for all canine genetic diseases.
Spay/Neuter Clause:
It is required that our Stonegate puppies are spayed and neutered by the time they are a year old. No Breeding Allowed.
Lifetime Return Policy:
Anytime in its lifetime if a puppy cannot be kept for ANY REASON, it is required that it be returned to us, ONLY US, not shelters or rescues. Not surrendered to the vet. Only Stonegate Labradoodles. This is to ensure we do not have a Stonegate puppy sitting on death row due to space. We do not ask questions or judge. We are just here to help.
*NO PUPPY FLIPPING ALLOWED*
When you leave, we will be giving each puppy a toy, a blanket, a bag of food and a collar. This way you can keep them as mementos and give the puppy some comfort from familiar scents.
And that's it! You now own a Stonegate Puppy1
I've noticed certain questions being asked repeatedly. So here's a few.
1. What sizes do we breed?
We breed Mediums, sometimes Standards and Minis.
2. How big is each size?
Standards are usually 55 pounds and up. Around 20 inches and higher.
Mediums are 30-45 pounds, around 16-18 inches high.
Minis are under 30 pounds and 15 inches or shorter.
3. How do I know that I'm guaranteed to have a puppy?
We keep a short list. For instance, we might have 4 litters we project to have this year, but we will only have enough spots to cover 2, that's it. This way, we can ensure that everyone has a puppy. In case if nature decides to throw a wretch in the works, we still guarantee you a puppy. Just a puppy from the next following litter.
4. Can I pick the color and gender now?
You can, but we do not guarantee that you will get that. We put a huge priority on temperament first. We do take your preferences in consideration. But we also focus on your family needs. For instance, if you have small children, we will prefer to focus on picking the best calmest puppy for your family regardless of your color and gender preference. Not only that, mother nature gets to decide what color and gender gets produced, not us.
5. Do we come at 6 weeks old to pick out our puppy or visit you?
No, we do not allow that due to Parvo and Covid. You will be able to pick up your puppy at 8 weeks old.
We cannot allow Parvo to get on the grounds. Once they are in the ground, it's very hard to get rid of. Unvaccinated puppies are incredibly vulnerable to Parvo.
Covid is also a danger to my family, one has MS and is a high risk for hospitalization. We want to keep it as clean as possible both for puppies and humans.
